The Kenya Association of Youth Centres (KAYC) was formed under the Youth Enterprises Development Fund Act, 2009. Its mandate is to support and promote the development of youth centers across Kenya, providing a platform for youth engagement, empowerment, and capacity building. KAYC’s roles include facilitating skills development programs, creating employment opportunities, and supporting youth-led initiatives. It advocates for policies that benefit young people and works to ensure that youth centers offer services that contribute to social, economic, and personal development. KAYC also promotes collaboration between youth organizations, government, and other stakeholders.

Functions

  • Promoting Youth Development: Support and enhance the development of youth centers across Kenya to empower young people.
  • Skills Development: Provide training and skills development opportunities to youth, equipping them for employment and entrepreneurship.
  • Youth Empowerment: Empower young people socially, economically, and politically through targeted programs and initiatives.
