The Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) was established in 1974 under the Standards Act (Cap 496) of the Laws of Kenya. Esther Njeri Ngari is the CEO of the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS), appointed in October 2023. She holds a degree in Food Science and Technology and has extensive experience in quality assurance. Ngari has significantly contributed to developing standards and policies that enhance product quality and safety in Kenya.
