The Lamu Port-South Sudan-Ethiopia Transport (LAPSSET) Corridor Coordination Authority (LAPPSET) was established in 2012 under the LAPSSET Corridor Act to oversee the development and implementation of the LAPSSET Corridor project. The project aims to enhance regional integration and economic growth by improving transport infrastructure connecting Kenya, South Sudan, and Ethiopia. LAPPSET focuses on constructing key infrastructure, including ports, roads, railways, and airports, to facilitate trade, promote investment, and foster economic development. The corridor is expected to significantly enhance connectivity and boost the economies of the member countries.

Stephen Ikua, MBS, is the Director General of the LAPSSET Corridor Coordination Authority. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Nairobi. With extensive experience in infrastructure development and project management, he has led several key initiatives aimed at enhancing regional connectivity and economic growth.

Functions
- Project Coordination: Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of the LAPSSET Corridor project.
