Overview
The East African School of Aviation (EASA), established in 1977, offers specialized training in various aviation fields. Originally formed to serve the East African region, it provides programs in aviation management, air traffic control, flight operations, and aircraft maintenance, among others. EASA plays a crucial role in developing skilled professionals for the aviation industry, contributing to the growth of aviation in East Africa. The institution is a hub for practical and theoretical training, ensuring that its graduates meet national and international aviation standards. EASA operates under the East African Community’s regional vision for aviation development.

Dr. Serah Waitiki holds a Ph.D. in International Relations and a Master’s degree in Business
Administration. With extensive experience in aviation education and management, she has
worked in various capacities within the aviation sector, focusing on capacity building and policy development. Dr. Waitiki is committed to advancing East Africa’s aviation industry.
