Overview
The Kenya Engineering Technologists Registration Board (KETRB) was established in 2012 under the Engineering Technologists Act, 2012 to regulate the practice of engineering technologists in Kenya. The Board began its operations in 2013 and is responsible for registering and licensing engineering technologists, ensuring they meet professional standards. KETRB promotes the development of engineering technology in the country by setting standards, offering professional development opportunities, and overseeing the quality of work. The Board plays a key role in advancing the engineering sector and supporting Kenya’s infrastructure development.
CEO: Eng. Alice Mutai
Eng. Alice Mutai is the Registrar and CEO of the Kenya Engineering Technologists Registration Board (KETRB). She holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master’s in Engineering Management. With extensive experience in engineering practice and regulation, she has led KETRB in promoting professional standards in the field.
