The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) was established in 2008 under the Kenya Roads Act, No. 2 of 2007. It is responsible for the development, rehabilitation, and maintenance of Kenya’s national trunk road network, including roads classified as national highways. KeNHA manages road planning, design, and construction, ensuring the roads meet the highest quality and safety standards. The authority plays a key role in supporting economic growth by improving road infrastructure and connectivity across Kenya, contributing to efficient transportation and trade within the region.

Functions
- Develop and Maintain National Highways: Oversee the planning, construction, and maintenance of major trunk roads.
- Design and Construction: Ensure proper design and execution of road projects to meet safety and quality standards.
