The Geologist Registration Board of Kenya was established under the Geologists Registration Act No. 10 of 1993. It is responsible for regulating the profession of geology, including registering qualified geologists, issuing practicing licenses, and enforcing professional ethics. The board ensures that geology programs meet industry standards, advises the government on geological matters, and promotes research and development. It also takes disciplinary action against misconduct and works to raise public awareness of geological issues, while supporting professional growth and continuing education in the field.

Prof. Daniel Olago is an Associate Professor at the University of Nairobi, specializing in climate change and water security. With over 25 years of research experience, he has authored 100+ publications. He contributed to the Nobel Prize-winning IPCC 2007 report and leads multiple international projects on climate and environmental sustainability.
