The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) in Kenya, established in 1965, provides social security protection to workers in both formal and informal sectors. The NSSF is also responsible for investment management, stakeholder engagement, and implementing reforms to transition into a social insurance pension scheme. Mr. David Koross holds a master’s degree in public policy management from Strathmore University. Prior to his role at NSSF, he was the chief executive of LapFund, which manages retirement funds for county
government employees. Koross’s extensive experience in public finance and management positions him to lead NSSF during a time of significant reform.
