Kenya ICT Authority

Overview

The Kenya Information and Communication Technology Authority (ICTA) was established in 2013 to manage and coordinate the implementation of ICT functions across the government. Its mandate includes promoting the use of technology to enhance public service delivery, advancing e-Government initiatives, supporting ICT policy development, and overseeing digital infrastructure projects. ICTA also ensures the effective use of ICT resources in government operations, and drives digital transformation, innovation, and the integration of technology in sectors like education, health, and agriculture. It plays a crucial role in shaping Kenya’s digital economy.

CEO: Stanley Kamanguya, OGW

Stanley Kamanguya, OGW, is the CEO of the Kenya ICT Authority (ICTA). He has extensive experience in public sector ICT management and innovation. Kamanguya has played a key role in initiatives like Kenya’s Digital Economy Blueprint and the e-Citizen platform. His academic background includes training in ICT and public administration, and he has worked on streamlining government ICT services and fostering digital transformation in Kenya.
