The Kenya News Agency (KNA), established in 1963, is the government’s official news service provider. Its primary mandate is to disseminate accurate and timely government information to the public, promote national unity, and contribute to the development of the media industry. KNA supports media diversity, public awareness, and government communication.

CEO: Ahosi Obonyo K’Obonyo

Ahosi Obonyo K’Obonyo is the current head of Kenya News Agency (KNA). He is an accomplished media professional and a University of Nairobi alumnus, having been involved in journalism and mass communication. K’Obonyo is known for his leadership skills in managing media content, especially in government communications, overseeing news production, and enhancing the dissemination of news both locally and internationally.
