The National Quality Control Laboratory (NQCL) in Kenya was established to ensure the quality of medicines, medical devices, and other health products. Its mandate includes conducting quality assurance tests, supporting the registration of pharmaceutical products, and providing laboratory services. The NQCL also engages in research and training, collaborates with international organizations, and advises the government on pharmaceutical policy. By maintaining high standards, the NQCL plays a crucial role in safeguarding public health against substandard and counterfeit medicines.
