Dr. Jackson Kioko is a medical doctor specializing in public health, with a Master’s in Public Health and International Development from the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Belgium and a Master’s in Health Systems Management from Galilee University College in Israel. He has over 25 years of experience in public health administration, serving in various leadership roles.

Functions
- Register Health Professionals: Maintain a duplicate register of all health professionals practicing in both national and county health systems.
- Regulate Inter-professional Liaison: Promote and oversee collaboration between various health regulatory bodies.
- Joint Inspections: Coordinate inspections of health facilities alongside other regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with standards.
- Resolve Complaints: Receive and facilitate the resolution of complaints from patients, regulatory bodies, and other aggrieved parties.
- Monitor Regulatory Bodies: Ensure the proper execution of the mandates of statutory regulatory bodies recognized under relevant laws.
- Arbitrate Disputes: Mediate and resolve disputes among regulatory boards and councils in the healthcare sector.
- Ensure Professional Standards: Guarantee that healthcare professionals maintain necessary ethical and competency standards.
- Oversee Training and Licensing : Supervise the training, registration, and licensing processes of health professionals to ensure compliance with guidelines.
- Safeguard Quality of Care: Monitor health service delivery and professional standards to enhance the quality and safety of healthcare services.
- Advocate for Innovation and Inclusion Promote strategic research, innovation, and inclusive health service delivery to align with global best practices and national health policies
