The Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) is a state-owned corporation, established in 1973 under the Companies Act. It began operations in 1978 to provide safe, efficient transportation and storage of petroleum products across Kenya. KPC manages over 1,300 kilometers of pipeline and various storage facilities, facilitating product distribution from the Port of Mombasa to inland areas. KPC’s roles include infrastructure development, regulatory compliance, market stabilization, and emergency response. JOE SANG holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and an MBA in Strategic Management, both from the University of
Nairobi, and is a Certified Public Accountant. Sang brings extensive experience in finance and management, having held senior positions at organizations like National Oil Corporation, Unga Group, and East African Breweries. He first served as KPC’s MD from 2016 to 2018 and returned in 2023 after a successful period that improved KPC’s pipeline efficiency and infrastructure.
