Laikipia University, established in 2002 as a campus of Kenyatta University, became an independent institution in 2013 following its elevation to university status. Located in Nyahururu, Kenya, it offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs aimed at fostering academic excellence and community development. The university focuses on research, innovation, and providing quality education in various fields, including business, humanities, sciences, and technology. Professor Joseph K. Rotich, PhD, is the Vice-Chancellor of Laikipia University. He holds
a Post-Doctorate in Medical Informatics (Indiana University, USA), a PhD in Mathematics – Operations Research (Shanghai University), an MSc in Statistics
(Southampton, UK), an MBA in Strategic Management (JKUAT), and a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics (UoN).
