Roysambu Primary

Roysambu Primary School is a large, public day school located in the densely populated Zimmerman Ward, within the Kasarani Constituency of Nairobi, Kenya. The mixed-sex institution, which also incorporates a junior secondary section, is managed by the City County of Nairobi and primarily serves pupils from the surrounding Zimmerman and Githurai areas. Facing challenges with a high student population that often leads to overcrowding in its 24 classrooms (resulting in a pupil-to-classroom ratio of approximately 65.5:1), the school has been the focus of recent governmental infrastructure projects, including the construction and refurbishment of new classrooms to improve the learning environment. The school follows the national curriculum, and has benefited from improvements to its access roads and facilities, which now include a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking lot.
