Olekimunke Primary School

Olekimunke Primary School is a public educational institution located in the Ganda Ward of Kajiado West sub-county, Kenya. The school has recently gained attention due to an indefinite closure in January 2025, which was triggered by intense parent protests over severe infrastructure deficiencies and a lack of administrative accountability. At the time of the closure, the facility—which serves students from nursery through Class 4—reportedly had only one functional toilet for the entire student body. While the nursery section initially remained open, students in the primary classes were forced to transfer to Mkaoto Primary School, located approximately 3 kilometres away, to continue their studies.
