Lositeti Primary School

Esiteti Primary School (often referred to as Lositeti) is a public, mixed-day educational institution located in the Entonet/Lenkism Ward of Kajiado South, specifically within the Oloililai sub-county near Amboseli National Park. Serving a diverse student body of approximately 469 children (230 boys and 239 girls), the school acts as a critical educational hub for the local Maasai community to help reduce high dropout rates in the region. The campus features 11 permanent classrooms, a library, a dining hall, and solar-powered facilities, with significant support from organizations like the Land & Life Foundation and Africa Schools of Kenya (ASK) to provide essential resources such as clean water from an onsite well. Beyond standard academics, the school is notably involved in community programs, including hosting Alternative Rite of Passage (ARP) ceremonies to support the community’s effort to end female genital mutilation.
