Kunchu Primary School is a public, community-affiliated day school situated in the Mashuru Division of Kajiado Central, Kajiado County. Operating as a mixed-gender institution, the school gained recognition for its innovative approach to human-wildlife conflict; due to its location in an elephant migratory corridor between Amboseli and Tsavo, WWF-Kenya installed a solar-powered deterrent fence that allows students to learn and watch wildlife safely from within the compound. Recent infrastructure developments have further enhanced the facility, including the June 2024 commissioning of an 80-bed capacity dormitory to better accommodate its approximately 95 students.
