Kabiria Primary School

Established in 1989, Kabiria Primary School is a public mixed-day institution in the Waithaka area of Nairobi’s Dagoretti South constituency. As of early 2025, the school continues to navigate the challenges of a rapidly growing pupil population, which has reached an estimated 2,400 students, significantly stretching its original infrastructure. While historically limited to fewer than 20 classrooms, recent government and community-led initiatives have focused on expansion, including the construction of 14 new classrooms to mitigate overcrowding that once forced some students to learn in temporary tents. The school emphasizes a holistic approach to the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) by integrating co-curricular activities such as athletics, music, and football alongside its academic programs.
