Joseph Apudo Primary

Located in the Makongeni Railway Estate of Nairobi along Jogoo Road, Joseph Apudo Primary & Junior Secondary School is a public mixed-day institution with a deep-rooted history in the community. Formerly known as Marurani Primary School, the school has transitioned to include a Comprehensive School status, now providing education from primary levels through to Grade 9 under the Junior Secondary curriculum. The campus features 23 classrooms and specialized facilities, including a modern library (Library No. 304) inaugurated in January 2025 in collaboration with Klett Lernen und Information. The school maintains strong ties with its alumni, most notably Hon. George Aladwa, the Member of Parliament for Makadara and former Mayor of Nairobi, who has spearheaded critical infrastructure upgrades such as a 450-meter perimeter security wall, gatehouse construction, and borehole rehabilitation to ensure a secure and resourceful learning environment for its roughly 470 students.
