Hospital Hill Primary

Hospital Hill Primary School, situated in the Highridge area of Parklands, Nairobi, is a prestigious public mixed day school with a history rooted in social inclusion and academic excellence. Founded in 1950 by John Karmali and other Asian parents to challenge colonial-era segregation, it became one of Kenya’s first multiracial educational institutions, initially operating from the founders’ home before moving to its current site on Parklands Road in the early 1960s. Today, the school serves over 1,000 students and consistently ranks as a top-performing public primary institution in Nairobi County, frequently lead by an award-winning administration. Its curriculum follows the Kenyan National system, including the current Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) through to the Junior School level, supported by a mix of government-appointed and board-employed staff.
