Gituamba Primary

Gituamba Primary School in Ruai, Nairobi, is a public day school managed by local government authorities that serves as a vital mixed educational center for the Embakasi and Kasarani areas. As of late 2025, the school has gained significant attention due to critical infrastructure challenges, most notably a safety crisis where approximately 600 pupils were forced to learn in makeshift canvas tents after a major classroom block developed dangerous cracks and was declared unfit for use. Despite these structural setbacks, the institution remains a cornerstone for over 1,700 students (including those in the regular day program), and recent efforts through the Kasarani NG-CDF have focused on rehabilitating the site, including the construction of new classroom doors and additional facilities to improve safety and learning conditions.
