Gatina Primary

Gatina Primary School is a prominent public day school located on Gatina Muthiora Road in the Kawangware settlement of Nairobi’s Dagoretti North constituency. As of 2025, the school has undergone a significant transformation through the Dagoretti North NG-CDF under the leadership of area MP Hon. Beatrice Elachi, resulting in newly constructed classrooms and a modernized environment aimed at reducing congestion for its population of over 850 students. In addition to its primary school functions, the institution now hosts the Gatina Junior Secondary School, which was officially commissioned in early 2025 as part of Kenya’s digital and technical educational transition. The school serves a critical role in the informal settlements of Kawangware and Kangemi, benefiting from both government funding and private sector partnerships—such as the Kenya Homes Expo and KICC—which have provided essential facelifts to its infrastructure and learning facilities.
