Kenya Industrial Estates (KIE) was established in 1967 under the Industrial and Commercial Development Corporation Act. Its mandate is to promote small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Kenya by providing access to affordable credit, incubation services, and technical assistance. KIE also supports the development of industrial estates and fosters entrepreneurship, aiming to enhance economic growth and self-reliance among Kenyans.

Charles M. Mativo is the CEO of Kenya Industrial Estates (KIE). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from KCA University and is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). With
extensive experience in finance and management, he has significantly contributed to KIE’s strategic direction and operational success.
