The New Kenya Planters Cooperative Union (NKPCU) was established in 2019 under the State Corporations Act, Cap 446, following the liquidation of the original KPCU. NKPCU’s mandate includes coffee milling, warehousing, and marketing to support Kenya’s coffee farmers. It also administers the Coffee Cherry Advance Fund, offering affordable loans to farmers. The union focuses on improving governance, promoting sustainable practices, and helping farmers access both local and international markets. NKPCU aims to enhance transparency, efficiency, and profitability within the coffee value chain.

Timothy Mirugi is the Acting Managing Director of the New Kenya Planters Cooperative Union (NKPCU).
