Turkana University College, established in 2016 as a constituent college of the University of Nairobi, gained university status in 2020. Located in Turkana County, Kenya, the university aims to offer quality higher education and contribute to the socio-economic development of the region. It offers various academic programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with a strong focus on research, innovation, and community engagement. Principal : Prof. George Chemining’wa

Prof. George Chemining’wa holds a PhD in Educational Leadership and Management
from the University of Nairobi. With over 20 years of experience in academia, he has
held leadership roles, including as a senior lecturer, administrator, and consultant in
various universities, contributing significantly to educational policy and management.
