Kaimosi Friends University

Overview

Kaimosi Friends University, located in Vihiga County, Kenya, was established in 2011 as Kaimosi Friends University College, a constituent college of Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. It gained full university status and was chartered in 2020. The university offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in fields such as education, business, social sciences, and agriculture. It is committed to providing high-quality education, conducting relevant research, and engaging in community development. The university focuses on holistic student development, academic excellence, innovation, and sustainability for the benefit of the region and beyond.

Professor Peter N. Mwita, Acting Vice Chancellor of Kaimosi Friends University, has
over 29 years of academic and research experience. He has made significant contributions to research and institutional development, securing substantial research grants and spearheading key projects such as the UNESCO Chair on Cloud Computing and the Kenya National Population and Housing Census.
