Chuka University, established in 2004 as a constituent college of the University of Nairobi, became a fully-fledged university in 2013 following the award of its charter. Located in Chuka Town, Tharaka Nithi County, Kenya, the university offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across fields like business, education, health sciences, and technology. It is committed to providing quality education, fostering research, and engaging in community development. Chuka University emphasizes innovation, critical thinking, and practical skills, preparing students to contribute to national and global development challenges.

Vice-Chancellor : Prof. Henry Mutembei M’Ikiugu, (Ph.D)

Prof. Henry Mutembei M’Ikiugu, a seasoned academic and administrator, holds a Ph.D.
in Agricultural Economics. He has extensive experience in university management, teaching, and research. Prof. M’Ikiugu has contributed significantly to the development of higher education, focusing on quality education, research advancement, and community engagement throughout his career.
