Meru University of Science and Technology (MUST) was established in 2008 under Legal Notice No. 103 as a constituent college of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). It began operations in 2009 and was awarded a charter in 2013, becoming a fully-fledged university. Located in Meru County, Kenya, MUST offers diverse programs in science, technology, engineering, and other disciplines, emphasizing innovation, research, and academic excellence. The university is committed to producing skilled graduates who contribute to national and global development while promoting
sustainable practices and community engagement.
Vice-Chancellor : Prof. Romanus Odhiambo
Professor Romanus Odhiambo, appointed Vice-Chancellor of Meru University of
Science and Technology in 2018, brings over 26 years of academic and leadership
experience. He holds expertise in environmental economics and has supervised 27 Ph.D. and 32 Master’s students. With 46 published articles, his research interests include robust estimation and small area estimation.
