Maasai Mara University, located in Narok County, Kenya, began operations in 2008 as a constituent college of Kenyatta University. It attained full university status in 2013 through the conferment of its charter. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, with a focus on areas such as education, business, tourism, and environmental sciences. Maasai Mara University is committed to providing quality education, fostering research, and promoting community engagement. It plays a significant role in regional development, particularly in the fields of sustainable tourism and conservation.

Vice Chancellor : Prof. Peninah Aloo Obudho

Professor Peninah Aloo-Obudho is a distinguished academician and the Vice Chancellor of Maasai Mara University. She began her academic career in 1990 as a Tutorial Fellow at Kenyatta University, where she earned her Bachelor of Education (Science) and MSc. degrees. She later obtained her PhD from Kenyatta University. Her expertise lies in Fisheries Ecology, and she has contributed significantly to research and community development projects.
