Dedan Kimathi University of Technology (DKUT), established in 2012 through the Dedan Kimathi University of Technology Act, is a public university located in Nyeri, Kenya. Initially a constituent college of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, DKUT was granted full university status to provide specialized education in technology and engineering fields. The university is committed to offering high-quality education, fostering research, and promoting innovation in various technical disciplines. General (Rtd) Dr. Julius Waweru Karangi is the Chancellor of Dedan Kimathi University
of Technology (DKUT). A distinguished former military officer, he served as the Chief of Defence Forces of Kenya. Dr. Karangi has a strong background in leadership, strategic
planning, and national security, contributing to education and development.
