Overview

Egerton University, established in 1970 as a constituent college of the University of Nairobi, became a fully independent institution in 1987 under the Egerton University Act. Located in Njoro, Kenya, it is one of the leading institutions in agricultural education and research. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, with a focus on agriculture, engineering, and education. Egerton University is committed to academic excellence, research, and community development, aiming to provide quality education and contribute to national development, especially in agriculture and sustainable practices.

Vice-Chancellor: Prof. Isaac O. Kibwage, HSC

Professor Isaac O. Kibwage is the Vice-Chancellor of Egerton University. He holds a
Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Nairobi. With extensive experience in higher education leadership, Prof. Kibwage has served in various academic and administrative roles, focusing on research, agricultural development, and sustainable practices.
