The University of Eldoret, established in 2011 and granted autonomy under the University of Eldoret Act of 2013, is a public university in Kenya. Initially a constituent college of Moi University, it focuses on offering high-quality education in agriculture, science, technology, business, and humanities. The university aims to provide research-driven solutions to socio-economic challenges, foster innovation, and contribute to the development of skilled professionals. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programs, supporting the advancement of knowledge and practical skills in various fields, while prioritizing community engagement and sustainable development.

Vice-Chancellor: Prof. Thomas Kimeli Cheruiyot

Prof. Thomas Kimeli Cheruiyot, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Eldoret, holds a Ph.D. in Strategic Management from Moi University, an MSc in Management Sciences
from Wageningen University, and a Bachelor’s in Agribusiness Management from
Egerton University. He has held various leadership positions, including Dean at Moi
University and Acting Principal at Bomet University College.
