The Konza Technopolis Development Authority (KoTDA) was established in 2013 under the Konza Technopolis Development Authority Act, 2012. Its mandate is to oversee the planning, development, and management of Konza Technopolis, a flagship project of Kenya’s Vision 2030. KoTDA’s roles include creating a conducive environment for innovation, fostering the ICT sector, attracting investments, and enhancing job creation. The agency also manages infrastructure development, urban planning, and regulatory frameworks to ensure the technopolis becomes a hub for technology, research, and innovation, positioning Kenya as a leading ICT hub in Africa.

John Paul Okwiri is the CEO of Konza Technopolis Development Authority (KoTDA). He holds an MBA in Procurement & Supply Chain Management and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting. With over 20 years
of experience, he has led significant projects, including infrastructure development and the establishment of key partnerships at Konza.
