The National Council for Children’s Services (NCCS) is a statutory body in Kenya established under the Children Act, 2001, to safeguard and promote the rights and welfare of children. Its mandate includes formulating policies, coordinating child protection services, and ensuring the implementation of children’s rights as outlined in national and international frameworks. The NCCS plays a vital role in advocacy, public awareness campaigns, and capacity building for stakeholders. Additionally, it monitors and evaluates child welfare programs, collaborates with governmental and non-governmental organizations, and provides guidance to enhance the overall well-being of children in Kenya.

Functions
