The Micro and Small Enterprise Authority (MSEA) was established in 2013 under the Micro and Small Enterprises Act, 2012. Its primary mandate is to promote, develop, and regulate micro and small enterprises in Kenya. The authority facilitates access to finance, provides business development services, and formulates policies to enhance the growth of SMEs. By fostering entrepreneurship and creating a conducive environment for small businesses, MSEA plays a critical role in driving economic development and job creation in the country.

Henry M. Rithaa is the Chief Executive Officer of the Micro and Small Enterprises Authority (MSEA) in Kenya. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Nairobi and has extensive experience in the microfinance sector, having previously served as the Managing Director of the Meru County Microfinance Corporation and as a Lending and Investment Manager at the Youth Fund.
