The Kenya Industrial Training Institute (KITI) was established in 1965 under the Industrial Training Act, Cap. 237. Its primary mandate is to provide high-quality vocational training in various technical and industrial fields to meet the country’s labor market demands. KITI focuses on enhancing the skills and competencies of artisans, craftsmen, and technicians, thereby contributing to the overall industrial development of Kenya. CEO: Eng. Wabwile Simiyu

Eng. Wabwile Simiyu is the Acting Director of the Kenya Industrial Training Institute (KITI). He holds a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Nairobi. Previously, he served as the head of the Scrap Metal Council’s secretariat and worked in various engineering roles, including leading design projects at the African Regional Centre for Engineering Design in Nigeria.
