Paranae Primary School is a public educational institution located in the Elangata Wuas (Elung’ata Wuas) area within the Ildamat Ward of Kajiado County, Kenya. Situated in the Kajiado West and Central sub-counties, the school serves a primarily pastoralist community where access to formal education has historically been limited. In July 2024, the school underwent significant infrastructure improvements through the Big Me Campaign, a collaboration between ActionAid International Kenya and Regis Runda Academy that raised KSH 1,500,000 to construct a new classroom block and a six-door ablution facility. Prior to these developments, many students were forced to learn under trees or in shifts due to a lack of adequate space, as the school previously operated with only one classroom and a shared two-door toilet for both teachers and students. Today, the school continues to expand its capacity to provide a conducive learning environment for local children, with future plans for further classroom construction.
