Ilbissil Boarding Primary School is a public, mixed-gender institution located in the Kajiado Central constituency of Kajiado County, Kenya. Originally established in 1904 to provide consistent education for children from nomadic Maasai communities, it stands as one of the region’s oldest and most historic schools. Today, the school manages an enrollment of approximately 837 students across 13 classrooms and is notable for its role as a pioneer in Kenya’s Digital Literacy Program, which introduced tablets and interactive learning tools to the classroom. Beyond standard primary education, the campus hosts a specialized unit for learners with special needs and has recently undergone significant infrastructure upgrades, including the completion of a 100-bed girls’ dormitory in early 2026 to better accommodate its boarding population.
