Karakuta Primary School

Karakuta Primary School is a public, mixed-gender day school situated in the Juja constituency of Kiambu County, Kenya, specifically in the Ngenda area. Managed by the central government, the school has faced significant challenges due to the dilapidated state of its infrastructure, including severe cracks, a lack of fencing and windowpanes, which was reported in late 2023 and has reportedly hindered its ability to provide junior secondary education. The lack of adequate fencing has also led to safety concerns regarding the intrusion of wild animals like hyenas and snakes into the school grounds, further disrupting the learning environment. The school serves a population of several hundred students with 13 classrooms and a total of 20 toilets for students and staff.
