Abbasalama Wananchi Primary School

Abbasalama Wananchi Primary School is a public educational institution in the Kalimoni Ward of Juja, Kenya, which has undergone significant transformation from its origins as a private girls’ boarding school to its current status as a government-supported community school. Officially opened in January 2021 after being built from the ground up during the 2019/2020 financial year, the school operates on weekdays from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. It is currently in a continuous state of expansion, with local leadership and the Juja NG-CDF actively funding the construction of new tiled classrooms and modern sanitation blocks as of late 2025 and early 2026 to accommodate its growing student body. Despite its status as a “Wananchi” (citizen-focused) public school, recent community reports have noted discussions regarding new student intake fees and registration costs. The school remains a central part of Juja’s educational infrastructure, serving as a hub for local development and academic prayer days for students in the region.
