Farasi Lane Primary

Located in the Kitisuru area of Nairobi’s Westlands Constituency, Farasi Lane Primary School is a public, mixed-gender day institution that has evolved from a once-dilapidated facility into a modern model of sustainable education. Serving roughly 550 to 700 pupils primarily from the nearby Mwimuto area, the school operates under the local government and is currently transitioning its curriculum to align with Kenya’s Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC). Following a major “surgical transformation” initiated around 2013, the campus now features 16 refurbished classrooms, a dedicated computer lab, a library, and a unique income-generating botanical garden used for teaching medicinal plant science. The school’s growth is supported by the Farasi Foundation, a community-led initiative that assists with infrastructure maintenance and pupil welfare, while the adjacent Farasi Lane Secondary School provides a direct transition path for graduating students.
