Dr. Muthiora Primary

Located in the Mutuini ward of Dagoretti South, Nairobi, Dr. Muthiora Primary School is a public, mixed-day institution that serves approximately 580 students from predominantly low-income communities. Operated by the central government, the school is distinguished by its inclusive approach, hosting a dedicated unit for roughly 20 children with special needs. In 2025, the school has become a focal point for modern educational reform through the launch of a new Resource Centre, designed as a pilot project for the constituency to support the Kenya Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) with specialized workshops for technical career paths, including robotics, computing, and metalwork. Despite facing environmental challenges like occasional flooding, the institution maintains a resilient learning environment supported by 16 classrooms and ongoing infrastructure improvements, such as renovated access roads and improved sanitation facilities.
